Why Rockanova

Built for bands that play loud and promoters who dig deep

Every show at Rockanova runs on a simple idea: give guitar-driven acts the room, the rig, and the reach they need to actually grow.

In-house sound that doesn't fight you

Our engineers know rock rooms. You get a proper soundcheck, a tuned monitor mix, and a stage that doesn't swallow your guitar tone.

Backline rental without the guesswork

Touring with your own amps is a hassle. We stock reliable backline for rock and indie setups, so you show up, plug in, and play.

Ticketing that puts local promoters first

Our digital system connects you directly with emerging talent. No opaque middlemen, just clear numbers and a direct line to the bands you want to book.

Weekly gigs and album launches

From intimate stage nights to outdoor festival sets, we keep a steady calendar of live rock, indie, and alternative shows that actually draw a crowd.

Artist development that goes beyond the stage

Workshops on stage presence, music business basics, and affordable demo sessions through our studio partnerships. Built for bands that want to level up.

A monthly playlist that puts SA rock on the map

We spotlight South African guitar-driven acts every month. It's a simple way to get your music in front of new ears and keep the scene connected.

Fine Print & Definitions

Booking Terms, Venue Rules, and What We Mean by the Words We Use

Before you book a slot or grab a ticket, here’s how we define things like “intimate stage,” “backline,” and “artist development.” These clarifications keep every show, workshop, and playlist submission running on the same page.

What “Intimate Stage” Means

Our intimate stage refers to the indoor room with a 120-person capacity, a 4-meter-wide performance area, and a dedicated monitor mix. It’s not the same as our outdoor festival setup, which runs on a separate PA system and a larger stage footprint.

Backline Rental Scope

Backline rental covers backline amplifiers, a drum kit, and a bass amp. It does not include guitars, pedals, cymbals, or personal accessories. Rentals are confirmed only after a signed gear list and a deposit are received at least 48 hours before the show.

Artist Development Workshops

Workshops are practical sessions focused on stage presence, sound engineering basics, and music business fundamentals. They are not recording sessions. Studio time is arranged separately through our partner facilities and billed according to their rate card.

Monthly Playlist Submissions

The monthly playlist series is curated from tracks by South African guitar-driven acts. Submitting a track does not guarantee placement. We review every entry, but only a limited number of songs make the final cut each month. No payment is required for submission.

Ticketing and Door Policy

All tickets are digital and issued through our platform. A ticket confirms entry to the specific event listed on the booking, but it does not guarantee seating, which is first-come, first-served. Refunds are only processed if an event is cancelled or rescheduled. For album launches and touring showcases, doors open 30 minutes before the first act goes on stage.
